Squarespace Designer Jim Bob McKown
I’m a web designer working solely on the Squarespace platform. My favorite projects are developing websites for small business owners. I love creating for these entrepreneurs and bring their web presence to life without going broke.
Experience
Web design has come a long way. My first website was coded in HTML with Microsoft’s Notepad. I have designed websites for many businesses, from a bison ranch to a winery tour organization. I've been working, mostly freelancing, in web design for over 20 years. Whether I am building a website from scratch or touching up an existing one, I like to focus on designs that maintain a balance of beauty and usability.
Personal
I grew up on our family-owned dairy. After high school, I joined the U.S. Air Force, and literally traveled the world. I was the Creative Services Director at the Eagle Newspaper for 15 years. My wife Kristy and I met, married and live in Bryan, Texas, with a large focus on Downtown Bryan. We live in a house in the historic district with our son and two adorable Aussie Doodles, Cooper and Iddo.
